What are the opportunities for a premiere on online platforms for a short film? What is the difference between online, streaming and virtual festival? What is the benefit that filmmakers and producers could get, and how are eyes on this type of exhibition today?

TALKING SHORTS: MEETING WITH EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAMMERS

The online short film magazine Talking Shorts present us a group of programmers from 

European festivals (Locarno, Dresden, Leuven Short Film Festival, Short Waves, 

among others) so that they can get to know our selected shorts and their filmmakers.

Industry Coordinator – Short Film Corner | Rendez-vous Industry 

Holding a Master degree in Film Studies – after studying Cinema, Literature & Arts – Florian joined Cannes Court Métrage in 2014. He coordinates the various Industry events (pitches, workshops, tutoring sessions, meetings, panels…) and the curation of short & first feature projects in development for the SFC | Rendez-vous Industry. This five-day forum organised by the Festival de Cannes aims to highlight short film forms, emerging talents and facilitate the interactions between the filmmakers & the industry.
Florian is also part of Encounters Film Festival pre-selectors team, and European Short Pitch reading committee

Art Director in cinema, series and advertising.
She has taken photography classes with Gabriel Valansi, lighting with Humberto Rivas, and scenography at the Colón Theater.
Between 2011 and 2015, he has been a teacher in the subject Audiovisual Design, FADU-UBA.
In cinema, she did the Art Direction of "Ingrid", by Eduard Cortés; “Alanís”, by Anahí Berneri; "Iniciales SG", by Rania Attieh and Daniel García; and "Breve historia del planeta verde", by Santiago Loza.
She also collaborates with Anahí Berneri making art in the series “Morir de amor”. And in advertising she works with directors like Erik Morales, Jeppe Rønde, and Esteban Sapir.

Graduated from the UNC of the "Technician in Audiovisual Media" and studying the "Bachelor of Film and Television". She has graduated from the Diploma in Audiovisual Distribution and Exhibition of the UNVM.
Winner of the UNC Extension Grant 2016 with the project "Emerge, memory, territory and animation". Founder of the group “CINEMA LA CALOR”, a collective that makes animated film screenings in non-traditional spaces. She directed “EL VENTILADOR, Santa Fe International Animation Film Festival”. She coordinates "APA Lab" Latin American Laboratory of Animation Projects. She worked in the art area of ​​different projects "The boy and the night", "Ailin in the moon", "Mobile Garden", "Red Roosters", "Own House".

Born in Buenos Aires in 1985. Graduated from the National School of Cinematographic Experimentation and Realization (ENERC). He directed the feature films "La piel marcada" (2016) / Official Selection [18] BAFICI / Official Selection (18) MIDBO and "El llanto" (2018) / Oficial Selection 33° Mar del Plata International Film Festival. He edited several works, among them “Monster God” (2019) directed by Agustina San Martín / Special Mention of the Jury at 72° Festival de Cannes. He is a thesis mentor at ENERC.

IMCINE PRESENTS: DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY IN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS

How do you know which are the right festivals for a short film? How to define your goals? Types of premiere, overlapping territories, geoblocks? How to apply for festivals and what to do when one selects my short? This training is the ABCs of independent distribution.

We present three cases to illuminate some of the paths that exist in the distribution of animated shorts. Animation film festivals, spaces for children's audiences, for adults, and other niche circuits.
